2021-22 Awards
Members of the journalism class attended the Ohio Scholastic Media Association (OSMA) State Convention at Kent State University last Friday. In the afternoon, students attended sessions led by journalism professions on a variety of topics. In the evening, they attended a banquet, where they received a number of awards for their work on BluePrints newsmagazine and website.
The newsmagazine, led by junior Alysha Wallace, earned a first-place rating. The website, led by senior Caden McDermott, earned a second place rating. Additionally, staff members won 35 individual awards, including 8 Superiors, 12 Excellents and 15 Honorable Mentions.
