Right before exams, a familiar figure wearing a red and white suit came to spread cheer around the high school. No, not Santa Clause, but Brutus the Buckeye!
Rather than bearing gifts, Brutus came bearing pictures and hugs on Tuesday afternoon. He visited several classrooms to say hello and pump up students before exams. “My students and I loved our brief visit from Brutus, it is always a pleasure” senior English teacher Beth Simmons said.
“I was really surprised to see him yesterday” freshman Abby Sanders said, “I just thought he was a teacher from our school dressed somewhat like him”.
“[It was] such an honor to have Brutus visit my classroom today and help fire up my students for exams,” drama teacher Sara Sharp said.
