There have been 14 Pixar films since 1995 when “Toy Story” was first put on the big screen. Pixar currently has nine movies in production including sequels like: “Toy Story 4”, “The Incredibles 2”, “Finding Dory”, and “Cars 3”, with many more planned for the future. Here’s my list for the best Pixar movies (not Disney movies):
14.) “Cars 2” (2011) – I didn’t see this movie because from the preview, though I loved its predecessor, it didn’t look good at all.
13.) “Brave” (2012) – I didn’t see this one either because it really was not appealing to me, given the setting of the movie and the main character being a girl.
12.) “Monsters University” (2013) – A look at the collegiate life of monsters.
11.) “Cars” (2006) – I’ve watched this movie probably about 75 times. “Life is a Highway!”
10.) “Up” (2009) – I cried in this one. When the movie flashes back to Carl and his wife’s meeting, marriage, and her death, I did let a tear or two drop.
9.) “Toy Story 2” (1999) – “The CLAAAW!” I’d do anything to go to Pizza Planet in real life.
8.) “A Bug’s Life” (1998) – Flik was my role model for a long time, and the circus bugs were so funny.
7.) “Finding Nemo” (2003) – “P. Sherman 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney!”
6.) “Monsters Inc.” (2001) – “Wazowski, you forgot to file your paperwork.”
5.) “The Incredibles” (2004) – Action, comedy, drama, and a great lesson about family? What more could you need.
4.) “Toy Story” (1995) – The one that started it all, literally.
3.) “Toy Story 3” (2010) – I cried in this one, too. It really made me think about growing up and how challenging it is.
2.) “Ratatouille” (2007) – This movie was all-around cool. I actually became a better cook from watching it.
1.) “WALL-E” (2008) – A lonely robot who finds love and chases it across the galaxy. Not only was this a good animated movie, it also gave a great view of humans in the future.
At this rate, it doesn’t seem like Pixar is going to stop anytime soon.
