Thirty-three high school students left for Costa Rica at 3:00 a.m. They will be there for ten days and come back on the following Sunday.
Their plane will arrive in San Jose, Costa Rica on Thursday. On Monday they will go to the Arenal Region, on Wednesday they will go to the central Pacific coast region and then finally they will fly back out of San Jose.
The first weekend they are there they will attend the Global Youth Leader Summit, which presents modern global issues and the students think of ways to solve them. Then they will look at the cultural aspects of Costa Rica.
The trip is a “phenomenal opportunity for students to open their eyes to other cultures and it helps teach students independence,” according to Mr. Redding,
Mr. Redding said he liked the idea of the trip because it will be a great hands on experience because it will engage the students.
