Six fun activities to prepare you for Christmas
December 19, 2022
As soon as Halloween is over and it starts to get cold outside, the countdown to Christmas begins. People love doing fun things with their friends and family to get in the Christmas spirit, but you can do more than just decorate your house and listen to Christmas music. 5 different activities you can do are:
1. Watching Christmas movies
When it’s too cold to go outside, you can relax in your bed or on your couch and watch a Christmas movie. Some of the classic films you can watch are “Home Alone,” “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and “The Polar Express.” If you like funny movies, you should watch “Elf.”
2. Getting a Christmas tree
Timbuk Tree Farm not only has a vast selection of different types of trees, but they also sell things like ornaments and hot chocolate inside. Going to a tree farm is a fun way to be able to pick out and cut down your own tree with your family.
3. Decorating a Christmas tree
Once you have bought your tree and set it up in your house, you have to decorate it. You can use different ornaments, lights, tinsel, and so much more.
4. Building gingerbread houses
Buy gingerbread house pieces from the store or make them yourself. Once you get the pieces, build the house using icing and decorate it with candy. You can use them as decoration or you can eat them.
5. Making Christmas cookies
Make your favorite cookies from scratch. If you don’t know how, you can look up the recipes online. Some of the most popular holiday cookies are sugar cookies, gingerbread, peanut butter blossoms and gingersnaps. If you like sugary and cinnamon cookies, you should make snickerdoodles.
6. Gift Shopping
Shopping for Christmas gifts is a fun way to spend part of your day. You can buy Christmas gifts for your friends and family at different malls like Easton or Polaris. If you want to shop outdoors, you should go to Easton. If you would rather shop inside, you should go to Polaris.
Participating in any of these or other activities is a fun way to prepare for Christmas with your family and friends.
