Hollywood has produced many memorable American movies, but these top five movies must be watched by everyone before they die. They are classics that were very famous when they came out, and are played often even now.
Coming in first place are the “Back to the Future Movies” starring Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd. Marty McFly played by Fox, meets a scientist Emmett Brown who is testing out his invention of the time machine. Marty travels back in time to warn Brown that he will be shot and killed in the future. But when McFly runs into his future parents, he changes his family’s history forever.
Second place belongs to “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” a classic movie that many teens would agree is one of their favorite movies. Matthew Broderick plays Ferris Bueller, and calls into school sick to take a day off. Jeffrey Jones plays Mr. Ed Rooney, the principal of the school, and he trys to catch Bueller, and prove that he is not actually sick. “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” shows a perfect day when he skips school, goes to town, and becomes famous, while never being caught by his principal, or his parents.
Third place goes to the famous “Rocky Movies.” Sylvester Stallone plays Rocky Balboa, a boxer from Philadelphia who in every match is the underdog. Balboa must get over his fear of facing a bigger, better opponent, and learn to believe in himself as well as his friends around him. There are six movies total, and all of them should be watched before you die.
Fourth place is “The Wolf of Wall Street” starring Leonardo DiCaprio. Jordan Belfort, a poor man takes a brokerage job at a popular firm that eventually goes bankrupt. With the skills that he learned, he began his own firm, making him a rich man in just a few months. Eventually law enforcers catch him for his illegal scheme.
In the last spot are the “Austin Powers Movies.” Austin Powers played by Mike Myers, is a British spy who is trying to catch the evil genius, Dr. Evil. The movies are related to the James Bond movies, making fun of them for the flaws of the villains. Powers always gets the girl at the end of every movie.
These movies are a must watch for everyone. They have powerful themes, science fiction, realistic insights, and are great comedies. “The Wolf of Wall Street” and “Austin Powers Movies” are for mature audiences, the others can be watched with your family.
