During freshman year, hallways were crowded my anxiety was high, heart was racing. A 14-year-old girl just trying to make it to class. Slipped and fell all the way down the stairs.
Embarrassment is the uncomfortable feeling you get when something makes you worry about how other people see you. You could be feeling this way because of something you’ve said or done, how you look, or something that’s been said about you. You feel you have no power over the situation. You feel humiliated when someone deliberately does something that makes you feel inferior or look bad in the eyes of others.
Another instance of an embarrassing moment at our school is Nick Worrell he got into an argument in the middle of Mr. Minton’s class with Mr. Minton and ran out of class. He said he was very embarrassed but was not in the mood to deal with him.
“Probably that time I ran out of Mr. Minton’s class because I got into an argument with him,” Worrell said.
Another moment described by Mrs. Tolbert was when she was in 3rd grade she was at recess reading a book and a boy named Josh sat right next to her. Suddenly the whole class was behind her and started shouting “Amy loves Josh” repeatedly. She was so embarrassed.
Another example is Addison Cross, who explains walking up the stairs and the person behind you is walking fast so you have to walk faster and sometimes trip and fall.
“When you are late to class and the person in front of you is going fast and you feel the need to go faster,” Cross said.
Lastly, another instance of an embarrassing moment is when Chloe Thatcher was going up the lunch room stairs in long pants and stepped on the bottom of her pants and slid the whole way down on her back.
“Probably when I was walking down ‘those’ stairs in really long pants and I stepped on the bottom of it and started sliding down on my back,” Thatcher said.
