Last week, Granville High School students and athletes continued to further their regular seasons. This most recent week of sports was once again a busy one for all Blue Ace athletes.
Boys Lacrosse
Beginning with their first game of the week, the Boys Varsity Lacrosse team took on Bishop Watterson in an away game on April 17. The Blue Aces lost the battle by a score of 13-8.
Following their game against Bishop Watterson, the Boys Lacrosse team then took on the John Glenn Muskies at home on April 25. The Blue Aces took home the victory, winning 20-8.
The Blue Aces look forward to their next matchup on April 29, where they will face Saint Charles in an away game.
Girls Lacrosse
Moving forward to the girls Varsity Lacrosse team, the Blue Aces played a home game on April 22 against Hilliard Bradley. The Blue Aces won a tough game, 12-8.
The girls then took on Columbus School for Girls at home in what was the Blue Aces senior night game on April 24. The girls lost a tough game by a score of 19-2.
To finish off the week, the Blue Aces took on Marysville at home, where they won a great game, by a 12-6 score. The girls look forward to facing off against Bishop Hartley on April 30 in an away game.
Boys Baseball
The Boys Varsity Baseball team played Licking Heights at home on April 22. The Blue Aces took home the close game, winning 11-9.
Shortly after their game against the Hornets, the boys then took on Johnstown-Monroe on April 23 in another home game. The Blue Aces won the game by a score of 10-5.
Then, following their last home game of the week, the Blue Aces battled against the Heath Bulldogs, losing by a 7-1 score.
After their game against Heath, the boys traveled to Licking Valley to take on the Panthers. The Blue Aces lost by a 4-0 score.
To finish off the week, the boys took on Highland on April 27 in their third consecutive away game, and fifth total game of the week. The Blue Aces lost a tough game by a score of 13-5.
Girls Softball
The Girls Varsity Softball team had yet again 5 games this most recent week.
Beginning with the Licking Heights game on April 22, the Blue Aces beat the Hornets in an away game by a 13-1 score.
Following the victory over Licking Heights, the girls then played Utica at home on April 23. The score for this game has not been reported yet.
Following their game against Utica, the Blue Aces took on the Heath Bulldogs in an away game on April 24, winning by a score of 4-1.
After the win over Heath, the Blue Aces took on the Licking Valley Panthers in another away game. The girls took home the victory by a 5-1 score.
Finishing off the week, the team took on Watkins Memorial at home. The Blue Aces lost a close battle by a 4-3 score.
