French teacher Regina Benson is retiring after teaching for thirty four years. She has worked at Granville High School for the last twenty five years.

French 1, 2, 3, 4, AP, 8th grade Spanish, and Spanish 1

How long have you taught French?

I have been taught French for 34 years.

How long have you been a teacher at GHS?

25 years

Do you have a favorite class you’ve ever taught?

I love all my classes equally.

What is your favorite part of teaching French?

Getting to know the students, and showing how beautiful the French is.

How would you describe your teaching life?

It has been a really important part of my life. I’m single, so people in my job are like part of my family.

How are you feeling to retire?

It’s bittersweet, exciting to start a new life but I will miss my classes.

What is your plan for retirement life?

I will be travelling, and I hope to find new hobbies and be able to participate in my church.

My students.
