Prior to spring break, three Granville sports teams competed in States: wrestling, girls bowling and indoor track.
Wrestling
The wrestling team sent freshman A.J. Bergeron, junior Luke Sanchez and seniors Andy Sanchez and Nic Ramirez.

This season A.J. Bergeron made Granville history by becoming the 1st Granville freshman to place at the State championship. At the State tournament A.J. Bergeron placed 6th. Along with the success he had at the State tournament he placed second at Districts, he won his first match at States with an 18-3. This season in total Bergeron won 6 tournaments including League champion and the Sectional champion.
This season came with a lot of success including Andy Sanchez making his 2nd appearance at States as an Alternate, after placing 5th at Districts. Going into States, Andy won 3 tournaments including League Champion and had a record of 40-10.
Nic Ramirez made his way to his first ever State championship this season by placing 4th at the District tournament. His record this season was 28-13. He also succeeded by becoming the Sectional champion as well as Clear Fork Invitational champion.
Junior Luke Sanchez made his first ever appearance at the State tournament as an alternate. This season Luke won 2 tournaments including a win at Sectionals. Luke’s current record is 23-12. To punch his ticket to the State tournament he placed 5th at Districts.
Overall this season Granville wrestling had a great season with an ending at the State championship.
Bowling
The girls bowling team sent junior Sydney Cottrell, sophomore Nyah Painter, sophomore Jill Brownfield, sophomore Jenna Evans, freshman Maddie Woods and team Captain Kamryn Dixon.

Overall, the team has had a successful season with new school records, being undefeated in the Licking county League, winning 2 tournaments, and heading to their first ever State championship. Kamryn Dixon placed 10th, Sydney Cottrell placed 58th, Jill Brownfield placed 70th, Jenna Evans placed 81st, Nyah Painter got 85th.
Due to these placings it sent the Granville girls bowling team to their first ever State championship. The team’s hard work helped them achieve their great success in States.
Indoor Track and Field
The indoor track team had much success including a win for the girls 4x400m relay that included Avery Ogg, Sophia Poling, Audrey Ames, Charlotte Turner.

Many others placed including Cohen Stump placing 6th in the 1600, Avery Ogg also placed in the 400m getting 8th, Nora Carrington placing 3rd in the triple jump, freshman Elsa Tonnessen placed 6th in the 3200m, Annie McCracken placed 2nd in pole vault and Elsie Larson placed 4th in weight throw.
The girls 4x200m placed 5th which included Audey Ames, Charlotte Turner, Ayla Cook, and freshman Tory Reynolds.

- Junior Nolan Cheney (4×800, 4×400)
- Senior Joe Day (4×400)
- Senior Connor Hare (triple jump)
- Senior Corbin Bell (400, 4×400)
- Senior Cohen Stump (1600, 4×400)
- Senior Landon Gibson (triple jump, weight throw)
Overall Granville athletes brought home much success showing the great athletic program and student athletes.
