Meet the Prom Court

Six seniors will represent the senior class at the Prom on Apr. 26 at the Bryn Du field house.

Nora Carrington, Corbin Bell, Connor Hare, Dylan Lane, Sophia Poling and Cora Tackett were elected by their peers. Blue Ace Media asked each of them five questions about their time at Granville High School and their expectations for Prom!

Nora Carrington

1. What is your favorite part of Prom?
“My favorite part of prom is seeing all of my friends and classmates all dressed up and getting pictures with people.”
2. What are your plans after graduation?
“I’m attending OSU's main campus next fall to study nursing.”
3. What was your favorite part of high school?
“My favorite part of high school was participating in sports and all of the friendships and memories that it brought me.”
4. What song do you want to hear at Prom?
“I hope they play ‘Give Me Everything’ by Pitbull.”
5. Do you think you are going to win?
“I'm not sure, but I love all of the other candidates and I'll be very happy regardless of the outcome.”

Corbin Bell

1. What is your favorite part of Prom?
“My favorite part of Prom is having fun with all my friends.”
2. What are your plans after graduation?
“After high school, I will be going to the United States Marine Corps, and my MOS will be intelligence. I also plan to get a degree from The Ohio University while I'm in the Marine Corps.”
3. What was your favorite part of high school?
“My favorite part of high school is the sports with the memories and opportunities they bring.”
4. What song do you want to hear at Prom?
“I think ‘No hands’ would be a good song.”
5. Do you think you are going to win?
“Honestly, not sure if I will win king, the other guys in prom court are very respectable, honest people that are close friends of mine. I could see any of us winning.”

Connor Hare

1. What is your favorite part of Prom?
“My favorite part of Prom is seeing and hanging out with different people throughout the night.”
2. What are your plans after graduation?
“After graduation, I plan to attend Indiana University, where I will major in finance.”
3. What was your favorite part of high school?
“My favorite part of high school was probably going on school trips with my friends, like the Disney trip and the New York trips.”
4. What song do you want to hear at Prom?
“I hope they play 'Mr. Brightside.'”
5. Do you think you are going to win?
“I don’t think I'm going to win, but I am very happy just being on the court.”

Dylan Lane

1. What is your favorite part of Prom?
“My favorite part of Prom is being with friends and seeing everyone together.”
2. What are your plans after graduation?
“After graduation, I’ll take a gap year to complete training for the Air National Guard, and then I'll attend Ohio University.”
3. What was your favorite part of high school?
“My favorite part of high school has been the experiences it's provided for me.”
4. What song do you want to hear at Prom?
“'Nokia' by Drake.”
5. Do you think you are going to win?
“I’m not sure, but everyone on the court is deserving.”

Sophia Poling

1. What is your favorite part of Prom?
“My favorite part of Prom is definitely getting to be around all of my friends!”
2. What are your plans after graduation?
“After graduation, I am going to run track and cross country at Flagler College in Saint Augustine, Florida. I also plan on majoring in marketing!”
3. What was your favorite part of high school?
“My favorite part of high school is sports and getting to go to football games with my friends.”
4. What are you wearing?
“I am wearing a light pink sparkly dress."
5. Do you think you are going to win?
“I honestly have no idea who is going to win! I love both Nora and Cora, so I would be so excited for either of them!”

Cora Tackett

1. What is your favorite part of Prom?
“Dancing with my friends and getting ready.”
2. What are your plans after graduation?
“I will be attending Bowling Green and majoring in nursing.”
3. What was your favorite part of high school?
“Hanging out with my friends and laid back classes.”
4. What song do you want to hear at Prom?
“'Yeah!' By Usher.”
5. Do you think you are going to win?
“I hope so! Sophia and Nora are great people, so I will be happy with whoever wins queen!”
