The BAM staff is celebrating 25 seniors from the Class of 2025! Starting May 1, we’ll highlight one randomly selected senior each day as we count down to graduation. The first senior is Mimi Anderson.
What has been the highlight of your senior year?
Spring break may be the highlight of my senior year. My family went to Hilton Head, North Carolina and we had so much fun.
What is your favorite memory of your time in high school?
A really fun moment was when I caught the biggest bass at Mirror Lake in Enviro junior year. We did a fishing unit and took a trip to a pond where I caught a fish!
What are your future plans?
I want to be a baker or a pastry chef in the future and my plan is to work at a bakery in Columbus and see where it takes me. I would love to travel and study pastry one day.
What will you miss the most about high school?
I am going to miss seeing my friends everyday. After graduation, we won’t be seeing each other daily.
What are you looking forward to after graduation?
I am looking forward to much less stress about schoolwork and tests. I am also excited for my graduation party that I am having with my friend Avery.
What was your favorite school lunch (alternatively, favorite thing you’ve brought)?
Jerk chicken, beans and rice, and mango salsa was so delicious.
What Portrait of Graduate competency do you identify most with?
I will choose Adaptable. I try to be adaptable in every situation and it is a valuable trait I appreciate in other people. Being adaptable allows me to live a happier, less stressful life because I choose to adjust when things change.
What was your favorite class?
I really enjoyed environmental studies with Mr. Reding. I learned so much valuable info about our environment and wildlife.
What was your favorite class project?
During my freshman year, I took biology and the end of year project was a living ecosystem. My group collected tadpoles and other critters and it was so fun. My partners for that project ended up being my friends for the rest of high school.
What advice would you give underclassmen?
It is very important to get your sleep!
