The BAM staff is celebrating 25 seniors from the Class of 2025! Starting May 1, we’ll highlight one randomly selected senior each day as we count down to graduation. Our tenth senior is Anna Nolan.
What has been the highlight of your senior year?
The highlight of my senior year was the entire soccer season. After losing many seniors the previous year, we expected a tough season ahead. However, our team chemistry was unmatched, and we exceeded all expectations, finishing with a record of 16-2-2. I am extremely proud of what we accomplished and grateful that my final season concluded on such a high note.
What is your favorite memory of your time in high school?
My favorite memory from high school would be attending the football games during my freshman year. At that time, everything was new, which made the experience that much more exciting. Looking back now, the nostalgia it evokes fills me with a sense of contentment and fulfillment.
What are your future plans?
My future plans are to study biology pre-dental at The University of Tampa.
What will you miss the most about high school?
What I will miss most about high school is being in the same environment as the people I’ve grown up with.
What are you looking forward to after graduation?
After graduation, I am looking forward to spending the summer with family and friends.
What was your favorite school lunch (alternatively, favorite thing you’ve brought)?
Every day during my junior year, my friend Gwyn Smith would bring chips and guacamole, which quickly became my favorite school lunch.
What Portrait of Graduate competency do you identify most with?
The Portrait of a Graduate competency I most identify with is collaboration. I leverage my social skills to thrive in the school environment, working alongside my peers and supporting one another through challenging assignments.
What was your favorite class?
My favorite class at GHS has been every Latin class I’ve taken. Mr. Fisher has a unique teaching style that makes the subject both engaging and enjoyable, provoking a desire to learn more.
What was your favorite class project?
My favorite class project during high school was dissecting a fetal pig in AP Biology.
What advice would you give underclassmen?
Advice I would give to underclassmen is to embrace new experiences while finding a balance between school and personal life.
