The BAM staff is celebrating 25 seniors from the Class of 2025! Starting May 1, we’ll highlight one randomly selected senior each day as we count down to graduation. The twentieth senior is Caitlin Koney.

What has been the highlight of your senior year?

The highlight of my senior year was going to states for competition cheer!

What is your favorite memory of your time in high school?

My favorite memory is going on the school trip to London and Paris my junior year.

What are your future plans?

I’m attending Miami University in the Honors College to study Creative Writing!

What will you miss the most about high school?

Being around my best friends every day.

What are you looking forward to after graduation?

I’m looking forward to not having to do anything all summer.

What was your favorite school lunch (alternatively, favorite thing you’ve brought)?

I eat a turkey sandwich and grapes pretty much every day.

What Portrait of Graduate competency do you identify most with?

I identify with being adaptable because that is definitely something I’ve had to learn the hard way throughout high school.

What was your favorite class?

SDL English and all my art classes.

What was your favorite class project?

My 20Time project for SDL! I made a book review blog.

What advice would you give underclassmen?

Some advice I would give would be not to let the fear of being judged stop you from doing what you love, trying something new or just being yourself.
