Girls' soccer team kicks their way to state finals

BY MORGAN PRACHAR (’17)

The girls’ soccer team is advancing to the state finals after last night’s 2-1 win against Indian Hills.

The game will be held on Friday at 3:30 in the Mapfre Stadium in Columbus (formerly the Crew Stadium).

Natalie Pireu, a sophomore on the team is very excited about the upcoming game.

“It was an amazing feeling to win,” Pireu said. “I almost cried. But I was worried at first because they scored the first goal.”

The team will face Archbishop Hoban, which is ranked number one in the state.

High school and middle students will be dismissed at 1:50 p.m. on Friday so that they may attend the game.
