The community was struck with tragedy in September when sophomore Louis Wood was a passenger in a devastating car crash while his two friends were in the front seat. The two students in the front seat escaped with minimal injury but Wood had to be flown by air to Nationwide Children’s hospital with lung and brain damage.
Louis friends, family, and community rallied behind him with love and support, and that’s when the student council officers decided to dedicate this year’s winter formal to Louis Wood. Leading up to the dance, the school hosted a Louis-themed sprit week and re-named it to The Lou-au all in his honor.
The dance will be Hawaiian themed and entry to the dance is ten dollars, one hundred percent of the proceeds will be going to the Louis Wood foundation. Students are encouraged to go and have a good time for a good cause in support of Louis Wood. Louis will make an appearance at the dance this Saturday night.
