A very successful season came to an end for the girls’ basketball team last week. This year’s team finished with a record of 12 and 11, much improved from last year’s record of 5 and 17. A new coaching staff provided an extra adjustment for the team this year.
“We had to go through many adjustments this year due to our new coaching staff, but in the end hard our hard work prevailed,” said junior Maggie Michael.
The team was visibly cohesive on the court and brought a tremendous amount of energy to every game, making the contest that much more enjoyable for the fans.
Michael and teammate Natalie Houser agreed that the biggest win of the season was against Lakewood. “They were number one in the LCL and we went on the road and beat them,” said Houser.
Michael playfully said that her favorite memory from this season was, “Maggie Wolf falling down constantly.”
Overall this season proved to be a tremendous success for the girls’ basketball team.
