Dear BluePrints,
Let me begin by saying that I don’t go to school dances. My time can be better spent with video games. But I realize that some people do, and that the dance be an expensive enterprise. So, I understand the mandatory fundraising for prom is necessary. It should take place, however, during time which would otherwise be free and quotas are completely unreasonable.
So, when I found out I was going to be locked in the library and forced to sell magazine vouchers when I could have been studying American Government, I was upset. Sure, I’ll sell the 13 necessary for the $2,500 tuition credit, But my family already said they’d buy them on Thanksgiving. I don’t care about the sub-par prizes. I already made you $260.
I don’t care enough about dancing to feel obligated to do a role. Also, what does this have to do with learning? It’s a learning experience for a future career as… a telemarketer.
Sincerely,
Devin Bennett
