Girls’ tennis just finished out their second Division I season. Although that caused many difficult obstacles for the team they finished the season with a record of 8-8.
“We played a lot of hard teams which brought our average down,” junior Katie Gold said, “but we really grew as a team this year.”
The team has enjoyed playing on their new courts this season and are proud to call it their home court. The team also welcomed many new teammates this year. As they graduate almost half their team, captains have been unofficially announced for the 2017 season.
Gold preferred the early season games over the closing games.
“My favorite games were the early season games,” Gold said. “Where we played at 10:00am instead of 3:00pm in the boiling heat.”
The season closed at sectionals held at Reynoldsburg High School.
