The wrestling team includes a number of athletes who have had a tremendous start to the season. The team is led by four upperclassmen, all who have positive records.
The lone senior on the team, Tristan Haley, has been lights out for the Blue Aces. He has recorded eleven wins while only facing three losses. Tristan has been a true leader for the team, as he wrestles in the 152 lb. weight class.
Backing him up is junior Keegan VanMeter, who has five wins and only one loss, as he comes back from his ankle injury. Keegan wrestles in the 170 lb. weight class. Junior Joe Rutherford has also made an amazing comeback after breaking his tibia for the second time, as he has posted three wins and two losses. He wrestles in the 285 lb. weight class.
Kyle Mangum is the last junior on the team, and he holds seven wins and four losses. He continues to be solid for the Aces.
Onto the underclassmen, Douglas Terry has been a force for the young Aces. He holds a bolstering fourteen wins with only one loss while wrestling in the 126 lb. weight class. He currently leads the Aces in wins. Keshawn Bonner has eight wins and six losses, but also leads the team in total pins.
Developing along with the strong underclassmen class are Stephen Cheng, Braden Atchison, Will Fink and Carl Greene, who are all on the brink of positive records.
This team has a very bright future, and as a community, we are excited to watch some of these talents wrestle in the state tournament.
