Cooking Corner: Bow Ties with Tomato and Feta

Cooking Corner: Bow Ties with Tomato and Feta

BY BRITTANY CLINE (’16)

This week, I will be making a pasta recipe from myrecipes.com for Bow Ties with Tomatoes and Feta!

  • 6 ounces of farfalle (bow tie pasta)
  • 2 cups of grape tomatoes, halved
  • 1/3 cup of thinly sliced fresh basil leaves
  • ½ teaspoon of minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • ¼ teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 teaspoons of olive oil
  • 1 package of crumbled feta cheese

Procedure:

  • Cook pasta according to the package directions; drain
  • Combine cooked pasta with the tomatoes and basil in a large bowl
  • While the pasta cooks, combine the vinegar and the next four ingredients (through pepper) in a smaller bowl, stirring with a whisk
  • Gradually add oil to the vinegar mixture, stirring constantly
  • Drizzle the vinaigrette over the pasta and toss well to coat
  • Add the cheese
  • Enjoy!

My Thoughts: The pasta was so good! The grape tomatoes were at the perfect consistency! The flavors of the tomatoes with the feta cheese blended so well! By far, my favorite recipe I have done thus far!
