Boys’ tennis swings into action

The Granville boys’  tennis team is off to an okay start for their season they are 2-2 with wins agains Bishop Hartly and Watkins and with losses against Gahanna and Columbus Academy.

Sophomore John Purnode he is the 1st singles player for the varsity tennis team. John has a lot of talent but so do the other players on the team such as Ryan Black, Jackson Terry, Matt Hills, Jack Bain, Duncan Penland and Gordy German.

Coach Mullins said that his goal for the season is to have a better record than last years, he said there were a lot of matches that they could have won but didn’t, and he hopes to win all those close matches that they lost last year.
