If you’re looking for a bakery that turns pastries into art, Sebastian Bakehouse in Cincinnati, Ohio, is the place to go. Located near Findlay Market, this spot is known for its creative croissants and one-of-a-kind flavors that look and taste amazing.
Sebastian Bakehouse has tons of unique combinations that are changed monthly, and somehow they all work perfectly together. I’m usually not a big fan of trying new flavors because they can be too sweet or strong, but everything I tried here was just right. It’s definitely my favorite bakery for creative croissants.
I tried the Sakura croissant, the Strawberry and Nutella croissant, and the Dubai Chocolate croissant. Each one was delicious, but the Dubai Chocolate was my favorite. It had rich chocolate layers and a pistachio filling that melted right into the buttery pastry.
They also have savory options like croissant sandwiches and quiche. I tried the Ham and Cheese croissant sandwich, which was warm, flaky and perfectly balanced.
The bakery is small and modern with glass cases full of pastries that are almost a too pretty design to eat. There’s no indoor seating, but many people take their pastries to go or eat at their tables outside. When I went, the owner and her father were working behind the counter, and both were super kind and welcoming.
Sebastian Bakehouse is open every day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Most croissants cost around $7.50, which is a little higher than average, but the quality and creativity make it worth it in my opinion. It’s best to go early since popular items sell out fast.
Overall I would give Sebastian Bakehouse a perfect 10 out of 10 for it’s delicious croissants, friendly service, and creative flavors!
