Four weeks after it was scheduled to begin, construction on Newark-Granville Road finally began, causing some mild traffic issues for students, said Principal Matt Durst.
The construction had been delayed since the third week of July, said Durst.
Due to the unforeseen circumstances of the late construction, traffic at the beginning of the school year was chaotic, but not crippling, Durst said. It caused a number of students to be late. The school has been lenient in marking students as late, he said.
The construction is slated to end sometime in the next three weeks, he said.
