What is your take action project focused on? Creating a land lab workbook for the GIS Students to use.
Why did your group choose this focus for your project? We wanted to make something that would be used for years to come and also help educate kids on the importance of the environment, especially the land lab.
What has the project process looked like up to this point? We have collected the data that we need for the grades levels and assignments by talking to teachers in the school. We have also designed the book and how it should look based off of similar ideas.
Why is your project important (especially environmentally)? It’s incredibly important for kids to learn about conservation early and also just to get out into nature. Children need to experience nature and learn to love it to understand why they need to protect it.
