Eight faculty members join high school staff

BY ADRIONA MURPHY AND REGAN MCCROSKEY

Eight new faculty members joined the staff this school year in order to accommodate the growing student body and replace those who retired in the last year, according to high school Principal Matt Durst.

The list of new teachers is as follows: Mary Jane Burgess, Intervention Specialist; Dana Decker, English and Social Studies Teacher; Nate Evans, Intervention Specialist; Judith Henderson, English and Yearbook Teacher; Gerald Holmes, Math Teacher; Emily Moon, Science Teacher; Jennifer Mosquera, Spanish Teacher; Elizabeth Muhlenkamp, Social Studies Teacher; and Christian Reinke, Robotics Teacher.

Originally, there were seven open teaching positions. However, an eighth was added due to increased enrollment, caused by a large freshman class and accelerated middle school students, said Durst.
