There are so many different types of dresses that girls can pick and choose from. Many girls do not even know where to start when it comes to finding the perfect prom dress. To start, you need to know what kind of dress you want.
“My favorite kind of style for a prom dress is mermaid,” said Lexi Marelli.
A mermaid style dress is when the torso of the dress is fitted and the bottom flares out a little more.
Another style of dress would be a ball gown. A ball gown dress is when the very top part is fitted and from the stomach down it is flared. Usually many layers are underneath the dress to fullness to the bottom.
A very popular style of dress is an all fitted style of dress. When the top to bottom is tight and the dress does not flare out at all.
Not only do you need to know what style of dress you want, but you need to know whether you want it to be a halter top style, strapless, and many other types of styles at the top of the dress.
A very important part in finding a dress is finding one that fits your needs and what you feel comfortable in.
If you are super girly a sparkly or sequined dress would fit that type of style. If you are more simple a plain colored dress would look cute paired with sparkly shoes and jewelry to add a fancier aspect to your outfit.
No matter what you choose to wear, just remember to find what fits you best and let your personality shine through.
