Girls Softball

The Girls Varsity Softball team had 4 games this most recent week, and proceeded to beat all 4 opponents.

Beginning with the Licking Valley game on April 8, the Blue Aces beat the Panthers by a 6-3 score.

Following the victory, they then played Lakewood on April 10. The Aces added onto their win column yet again, this time winning 9-1.

To finish off the week, the Blue Aces then had a double header at home against Pickerington Central. The Aces took home both games to add to their record as victories, shutting out the Tigers the first game 11-0, then following that game by winning 16-6.

The girls will look to continue their winning streak this next week, where they will take on Johnstown on April 16.

Outdoor Track & Field

On April 9, the Granville Outdoor Track & Field team completed in the Newark Tri (Granville & New Albany) relays. The information for this meet has not been posted yet.

On April 12, the team competed in the Granville Invitational here at the High School, where they celebrated senior night. The seniors celebrated by walking gout with their families on the 50 yard line of the football field and taking pictures. In the competitions, the girls swept their way through the 3 sprint relays while the boys took home runner-up in the 400m and 1,600m relays.

While this week for Granville High School athletics as a whole was pretty busy, the Blue Aces got it down across all boards and made their marks. Each team looks forward to their upcoming matchups, home and away, looking to continue paving their own paths.
