Ever wonder why the Starbucks drive through line always wraps around the building? Overtime, grabbing a coffee from places like Starbucks, Dunkin, or even River Road and 7 Brew has become a part of many individuals’ daily lives. But why?
According to Drive Research, in America alone, three out of four people drink coffee everyday. Forty eight percent of people buy coffee from a coffee shop at least once a week. The most popular coffee shop is Starbucks with 48% of people saying it is their favorite coffee shop.
At Granville High School, 53% of students say River Road is their favorite coffee shop, 27% say Starbucks, 10.1% say other, 7.3% say 7 Brew and lastly 2% say Dunkin.
Junior Avary King is usually seen carrying around a coffee at school. She says her favorite coffee chain “has to be Starbucks.” Her usual order is a venti iced blonde vanilla latte with sweet cream cold foam.
In an average week, she goes about three to four times.
“I felt likeit woke me up a little bit more in the mornings,” Avary said. “My parents drank it so I kind of felt like it was a normal thing to do.”
Whether a high school student or a working adult, many people love a caffeine boost in the mornings to get them through their busy lives.
Another frequent coffee drinker is sophomore Miles Davis.
