Crime television shows are diamond to watch and are super cool to watch because of the compelling and exciting acting, storylines, and their ways of solving crime. This list includes five crime shows that I would suggest trying and watching.

#1: “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”

“CSI” is one of the most exciting and greatest crime TV shows ever. It is filled with forensic science and crime scene investigation.

“CSI” follows familiar stars William Petersen, Marg Helgenberger, George Eads, Paul Guilfoyle, Ted Danson, Elisabeth Shue and Laurence Fishburne, who portray crime scene investigators working for the Las Vegas Police Department. They get assigned and paired with different characters, every time there is a case. The team is led by a supervisor.

Graphic content is a big topic within the show because it is disturbing and questionable for some viewers. There are dead bodies and autopsies, as well as blood, and even close up shots of little pieces of evidence, like a hair follicle or little piece of a part of an object. Some gunshots are heard and some physical fighting may occur in some episodes. Flashbacks of the crimes also happen as well.

The team solves their cases with so many steps. The first receive the case and arrive at the crime scene. Then they start taking pictures, collect evidence, dust for prints, swab for DNA and ask any witnesses. Once they get back to the lab, they analyze the evidence, find a match and perform interrogations. After building enough evidence, the police will arrest the person responsible for the crime.

Everyone should watch this show because it is super cool with all the forensic science and the different cases. I was blown away when I started watching this show and I will continue to follow the evidence. If anyone likes crime scenes and forensics, then try “CSI” for one time.

#2: “Nash Bridges”

“Nash Bridges” is one of the coolest police action dramas ever. It is filled with a lot of humor and high action. Don Johnson and Cheech Marin are one of the coolest and funniest police partners on the show.

“Nash Bridges” follows a team of six police inspectors, lead by a captain, in the city of San Francisco.

The graphic content of the show is filled with dangerous, but exciting drama. There are guns involved in shootouts, which is highly exciting. What is even more exciting is the car chases and physical fighting in some episodes.

The team of police inspectors is called the SIU (Special Investigations Unit). They solve cases by receiving the case, use computers and ask witnesses or possible suspects, sometimes go undercover, and later arrest the responsible person who committed the crime.

I would absolutely recommend that people should watch this show because they can get a laugh and a fast heartbeat going when watching an episode. If you are looking for high action drama, watch “Nash Bridges.”

#3: “Blue Bloods”

“Blue Bloods” is an amazing drama mixed with crime and family. There are crimes happening in every episode, and there are also events within the family. Tom Selleck and Donnie Wahlberg are the two greatest stars in the series.

“Blue Bloods” follows a family that knows the law. It mainly follows a police officer, a detective, an assistant district attorney and the commissioner. This whole family lives in New York City and go to work to fight off crime and protect the city.

The graphic content is not super oppressive, but there is some questionable content in most episodes. Some episodes involve gun shootings, or even shootouts, which is more deadly. Some occasional fighting may occur, as well as bad guy chases.

Since there are multiple occupations seen in the show, everyone does certain jobs. A detective, for example, will receive a case, arrive at the crime scene, ask witnesses, gather all evidence, use computers and tracking systems, use files for further information, and eventually arrest the criminal responsible.

“Blue Bloods” is a great show with a great ensemble cast and includes an awesome storyline in every episode. It will lead audiences through an incredible ride of crime and family. The show has run for 10 seasons, and the new upcoming 11th season will be coming soon.

#4: “NCIS”

“NCIS” is an exciting and interesting military police drama. It is filled with some humor, and mostly a lot of crime investigation, involving the Navy. Mark Harmon plays an excellent, compelling role in the show.

“NCIS” includes a team of five, lead by a supervisor, in the city of Washington, D.C.

The graphic content is not super graphic, but there are some questionable scenes in most episodes. There are dead bodies exposed, as well as crime scenes, which is pretty limited. Autopsies are seen as well, which does look gruesome. All episodes include a limited time at the crime scene, which I find questionable.

The team solves the case in several steps. They receive the case first, and then arrive at the crime scene and start sketches, photos, measurements, collecting evidence, and bag and tag all evidence. They even use computers and tracking systems to find suspects and other evidence to solve the case. Forensics is also used which is cool, but the interrogations are compelling and scary.

People should try this show. It is not as exciting as any other crime shows, but it is filled with incredible stories and cases. “NCIS” has been running for 17 seasons, and the new, upcoming 18th season, will be coming soon.

#5: “Without A Trace”

“Without A Trace” is one crime drama that I have never seen before. It felt very experimental when it was the first time ever watching it. I have seen some old promos on YouTube of the series, and it looked interesting to try out.

“Without A Trace” follows a team of five in the Missing Persons Unit of the FBI in New York City. A supervisor special agent, portrayed by Anthony LaPaglia, leads the FBI team.

Little to no graphic content and crime scenes happen within the show. I found one strange effect in the show, which is how the missing people disappear. Meaning there is a person and then they fade away. It must be a camera trick of some kind, that the creators decided to do. They also use bright lights to begin the flashbacks of where the missing person was seen before they went missing.

The FBI Missing Persons Unit solves their cases by first receiving the case and get a profile and a list of events leading to their person’s disappearance. They also use computers, a whiteboard, tracers and imaging programs to track the missing person. Once they have enough information and evidence, they ask witnesses questions and sometimes perform interrogations. They have a limited amount of time to even find the person, and there is a chance they may not find the person. Otherwise, if they find the person, he or she will be safe again, and the criminal responsible will be arrested.

I do not really believe anyone would want to watch this show because it looks really weird and there is not a lot of crime vibes to it. “Without A Trace” depicts a really important law subject, which is missing persons, and I do not believe anyone would like this show because of a lack of crime.
